The Service Pavilion Staff classifies this model as an "intermediate-oval" head-shape in regards to fitment. (We understand this shape description is different that what you have read elsewhere, yet our experience tells otherwise.)

This is what we have determined to be the "INTERMEDIATE OVAL" head shape in the Arai helmet line. There is not another model in the Arai line-up that fits quite like this helmet. This does not fit exactly like the previous Quantum model, nor does it fit like the RX-Q model that it replaced.

This is what we have determined to be the "INTERMEDIATE OVAL" head shape in the Arai helmet line. There is not another model in the Arai line-up that fits quite like this helmet. This does not fit exactly like the previous Quantum model, nor does it fit like the RX-Q model that it replaced.
Some key features are:
- Arai's new VAS Shield system - this system was developed to enhance the shape of the shell, but has also created an easier-to-learn shield changing mechanism.
- The VAS shield included with the Quantum-X is also Pinlock ready. Every Quantum-X comes with a clear Pinlock lens made to fit the VAS shield.
- Fully removable interior with Arai's anti-microbial material, which resists bacterial buildup between cleanings.
- New ventilation ducts offer more adjustment and better air flow.
- Water repellent chincover smooths airflow and increases exhaust from the mouth area. It also reduces wind noise coming up from below. This chin cover can be easily removed and reinstalled as needed.
- Pull-down chin spoiler (which works with or without chincover installed)
- Emergency Release Cheek Pad and Neck Roll System (For ease of helmet removal in an emergency situation).
- Fully removable head liner, cheek pads, neckroll, and chinstrap covers.
