Some key features are:
- Arai's VAS Shield system - this system was developed to enhance the shape of the shell, but has also created an easier-to-learn shield changing mechanism.
- The VAS shield included with the Regent-X is Pinlock ready. Pinlock lenses sold separately.
- Semi-removable interior - the top pad is glued in, but the liner around the crown is fixed with Velcro and easily removed for cleaning or replacement. Cheek pads are also removable.
- 5mm wider base for easier on and off.
- Fixed chin curtain - helps to block wind noise and control airflow under the helmet.
